The KronEnterprise emblem: a crowned mask

The Mark

Worn, not displayed

01

The crown

Five points, none of them even. It was not granted and it was not inherited — it was built, which is the only reason it is worth anything. It sits above a face rather than beside a name, because the standard belongs to the enterprise and not to any one person working inside it.

02

The mask

Not a disguise — a discipline. What is behind it is not secret so much as beside the point: work is judged on what was delivered, not on who delivered it. The mark is the agreement that the standard speaks first, and that the personality does not need to speak at all.

03

The marks it leaves

The lines running down from the band are the honest part. Every position worth holding was paid for before it was held, and the mark does not pretend otherwise. Power came with sacrifice. Keeping the receipt in view is what stops a standard slipping once it becomes comfortable.

04

Its use

It appears on correspondence, on contracts, and on the labelling of everything produced under the enterprise's name. It is not decoration and it is not advertising. It is a seal: it records that a piece of work was examined, accepted, and put a name behind.

05

What it is not

It is not a trademark defending a product line, and it is not decoration. Nothing is sold beneath it. It appears on correspondence, on the ledger, and on the few things the enterprise has made — and its absence from everywhere else is deliberate. A seal that appears everywhere has stopped meaning anything.
